Events during 2009
Saturday 10th January
Members of the congregation came along and shared in coffee and cookies to see the preparations that have been made for the exciting new TGI Friday gathering for young people. 10-12. People had great fun having a go on the Wii and PlayStation.
Sunday 25th January
Rev John Leach led our church anniversary at 10.30am, and this was followed by lunch in the hall after the service.
Saturday 7th February
The coffee morning and gift stall were in aid of the Bubble Foundation. Gill Johnson from the Bubble Foundation came to talk about the work of the Foundation.
Saturday 7th March
Our coffee morning during Fairtrade Fortnight has now become an annual event, with baking for sale which contained at least one fairtrade ingredient.

Easter Labyrinth - we experienced something different this Holy Week
Monday 6th April: 3pm-4:30pm and 7pm-8pm
Tuesday 7th April: 10:30am - 12 noon and 7pm-8pm
Wednesday 8th April 3pm-4:30pm
Thursday 9th April 10:30am-12 noon
People were able to drop in any time, and tea and coffee were served.
Maundy Thursday - 9th April
Rev Alison Wilkinson led our Maundy Thursday Sacrament service.
Good Friday - 10th April
Our Good Friday 10.30am service was led by Rev Alison Wilkinson.
Easter Day - 12th April
Our Easter Day all-age worship including the Sacrament was led by Rev Alison Wilkinson.
Thursday 30th April
A musical evening including light refreshments with Louise Henderson and friends plus supporting acts. Proceeds from the evening were in aid of The Bubble Foundation UK.
Thursday 7th May
Annual General Church meeting at 7.30pm where we talked about our vision for the future.
Thursday 14th May
Afternoon tea, a raffle and bring and buy stall in aid of the Bubble Foundation.
Saturday 23rd May
Ann Fenwick spoke on "Through my vicarage window" in aid of the Bubble Foundation, our annual charity.
Saturday 6th June
We had good fun at our annual summer fair.
Sunday 7th June
Our Cafe Church has become a regular feature of church life and outreach into the local community. Keep your eyes open for the next one.
Wednesday 10th June

Friday 26th - Sunday 28th June
Our church weekend away took place in the Lake District where members of the church family enjoyed time together away from the distractions of everyday life.
Friday 3rd July
Jesmond Choral Group and friends performed a concert version of Gilbert and Sullivan's light opera Patience. Proceeds from the evening went to the Bubble Foundation.
Monday 27th - Friday 31st July
Children and young people aged 5-14 had a great time at our annual Holiday Club and shared in lots of fun! The theme this year was Showstoppers!
Sunday 2nd August
Rev Alison Wilkinson led us in a Cafe-style service as we celebrated the annual Holiday club.
We had great fun in the annual car treasure hunt, exploring the local countryside and ended up at a pub for a great meal. Proceeds from the evening went to the Leprosy Mission.

Family fun night with pie and peas supper
Sunday 27th September
Rev Andi Smith and Deacon Kerry Smith led our all-age Harvest Festival service, followed by a hunger lunch in aid of the Salvation Army.
From September to December we explored The Big Story. Have you ever felt in need of a simple introduction to the key passages in the Bible? Have you ever felt daunted by reading the Bible and not known where to start? Or just wanted a refresher course on the Bible? Well, here is the answer. Session ran most weeks at 7.30pm (with a few weeks off to catch up!) at the Methodist churches in Carrville, Pittington, Sherburn and Sherburn Hill. On the same dates a Thursday daytime group met at 10am at Carrville led by Deacon Anne Ellenor and Rev Alison Wilkinson. Contact us if you would like to find out more about what we did.

We held our autumn fair which included a raffle, tombola, other stalls and refreshments. Proceeds were in aid of the church's outreach and development mission.

7pm - A concert was led by Prudhoe Gleeman with proceeds being in aid of the Leprosy Mission.
Sunday 4th October
We held our annual Compassion UK Service
Sunday 18th October
On this Sundy we joined together for one of our regular Cafe Church services.
Thursday 29th October
A family Pizza night was held in The Loft and included family games, the Wii, Rock Band and pizza.
Sunday 22nd November
This day saw our annual Shoe Box Sunday in aid of Operation Christmas Child.

10am - 1pm - Christmas Grotto in aid of the church's outreach and development mission

Belmont Ladies Christmas Concert with proceeds in aid of the Leprosy Mission.
