Details of the regular activities for children and young people
Childrens Activities
There are a range of activities on offer at Carrville Methodist Church specifically for young people. Some brief details of these events are given below:
- Our Kids Holiday Club will take place this year from Monday 27th to Friday 31st July 10-12. For kids and young people aged 5-14 - Come and join our annual Holiday Club and share in the fun! The theme this year is Showstoppers!
- Easter Journey - Around 150 children from local churches visited the Easter Journey at Carrville Methodist church. The Easter Journey was a walk through Jesus' life and death from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. Through role-play and storytelling Year 5 children from local schools experienced the celebration of Palm Sunday, the significance of the Last Supper, the suffering of the cross, and the joy of an empty tomb.
- Brownies meet on Mondays and Tuesdays (5.30pm - 7pm) and enables girls aged 7 - 10 years to work for interest badges developing a wide range of useful skills.
- Guides meet on Wednesday (7.15-9pm) when girls aged 10 - 15 years follow their own organised programme leading to further self development as individuals and members of a team.
- Carrville Kids meets each Sunday morning where children progress through the three groups, each enjoying its own distinctive pattern of activity. There is a crèche for under 3s, Play and Pray is for younger children and Friends of God is for older children.
- Pram Club meets Monday and Thursday afternoons (1pm-3pm) and is an informal (sometimes hectic!) social gathering of parents and guardians with their young children. All are welcome to this.
- Rainbows meet on Tuesday (6-7pm) and Friday (5.15-6.30pm). This is open to girls aged 5 - 7 years and provides a structured programme of fun activities.
- TGI Friday! meets on Friday 4-6pm. Are you in Year 6 - Year 10 and need somewhere to chill? Wii! Relax! Xbox 360! Music! Pizza night is every fourth Friday 6-8pm! Only £1 - come and join us.
