Coronavirus

In response to  Government recommendations, it is with regret that we have had to suspend all church services, meetings and activities on these premises over the last few months. We are really pleased to be re-starting our Sunday morning service, and are looking forward to you joining us. The first one will be on Sunday 5th October – go to our What’s On page to find out more about how you can book your place.

If you need pastoral support, please contact our minister Andy by phone 07539 453 223 or email revalonge@icloud.com.

Travel directions

Carrville Methodist Church is on the east side of Durham City, and is easily accessible from Junction 62 of the A1(M). If you are travelling from the centre of Durham, follow the A690 signposted Sunderland and take the first exit signposted to Belmont/Dragonville. Follow this road over the A690, continue straight on at the traffic lights, and straight on at the mini-roundabout. Bear to the left where the road splits at the Anglican Church (St Mary Magdalene). The Methodist Church is situated on the right hand side approximately ¼ mile further on.

If you are travelling from Sunderland along the A690, turn left at the traffic lights signposted Belmont/Carrville (adjacent to the petrol station and opposite the Park and Ride). Follow this road round into Carrville, and the church can be found about 1/4 mile along the High Street on the left hand side, soon after the bridal shop. Carrville High Street is serviced by the regular Number 20 bus with bus stops in both directions located close to the church.
