2.00-3.00pm (Carrville) – All are welcome to week 1 of this year’s Advent Bible Study. We will be using resources from Paula Gooder’s book ‘Journey to the Manger’ which explores the New Testament’s various accounts of the birth of Jesus.

Other regular activities 

Monday

  • 8.00pm – Faith & Friendship meets on Monday evenings either online or in person for discussion and fellowship. Contact Suzie for meeting dates and venue.

Tuesday

  • 5.30pm – Brownies  at Carrville.

Wednesday

  • 10.00am – Weekly prayer meeting – Join us for half an hour for the Durham City East Methodists’ online prayer meeting on Zoom. Contact Linda if you’d like the link to join us. Feel free to come along with your morning cuppa! 
  • 2.00pm – Monthly Bible Study – On the first Wednesday of each month we meet at Carrville for our monthly bible study. As we read, pray and talk together, hopefully the familiar and not so familiar stories will come alive in new and unexpected ways. Refreshments are provided. We are currently exploring the book of Revelation.

Thursday

  • 9.00am (term-time)Drop-in at Bowburn including playgroup where parents and carers are welcome with pre-school-age children 9.00-11.00. This is followed by Worship at 11.30am – you are welcome to join us for either or both events. This takes place in Bowburn Community Centre which is opposite the Methodist Church.
  • 9.45-11.15am (term time) – Pram Club meets during school term time at Carrville – please contact Joanne (07979 764009) if you have any questions. 

Friday

  • 10.30-12.30Crafty Knitters – A weekly craft group at Pittington St John’s church. A £3 subs charge is payable each time you come which includes refreshments. Contact Soo if you’d like to know more (email: illingworthsoo@sky.com or phone 0191 372 1373)
  • 6.00pmRainbows at Carrville.

Saturday

  • 9.00-9.45am – Join us in the Carrville church hall for our monthly prayer breakfast on the first Saturday in the month.
  • 10.00-11.30amMonthly coffee morning on the first Saturday in the month in Carrville church hall.
